Highlights
1969 DODGE DART 340 SWINGER
The options that got checked off when this Canadian-ordered Dart was built assured that it stands out in the crowd. Not only does it have the numbers matching (E55) 340 small block matched to the factory (D32) HD 727 automatic – but it also has a really unique color combination. The correct R6 red exterior is complemented by the (V1W) white vinyl top and (V8W) white rear stripe. All correct to the fender tag. Inside, the correct black interior looks as nice as it did when it was new. This car was sold new in Alberta back in 1969, having just come to us on trade. Included in our file for this car, there are original receipts dating all the way back to the 1970’s. By looking at the original build sheet and fender tag that are still intact – it is clear that this car was built more for ‘show and go’ as there weren’t many other non-performance items checked off. These 340 A-Bodies are getting hard to come by, and the 4-speed versions are starting to come into their own on the collectability spectrum.
