1967 Chevrolet MALIBU 327
This 1967 Malibu Sport Coupe (model #13617) left the Fremont, California assembly plant back on the 4th week of February, 1967 and spent nearly it’s entire life in California. It came to Canada via the Barrett Jackson collector auction 7 years ago. It was a very nice car when it crossed the border, but the new owner didn’t stop there, spending considerable time and money on improvements to anything that was required. Its life down south is evident when you check out the straightness of the body, it’s a rust free car that retains all of its original body panels. The floors, trunk, quarters – all are in amazing condition. It is finished in its correct ‘DD’ code “Nantucket Blue Poly” overtop of the ‘761’ code black interior. Under the hood is a very strong running 327 engine, matched to an upgraded 700R4 transmission. It starts easily, idles without issue, and you can hear the rumble of the cam through the new dual x-pipe crossover exhaust. With the factory power steering and power disc brakes, the car drives as good around town as it does on the highway (with the upgraded 4-spd transmission). Interior is flawless, including the carpet, headliner, and seats - all in perfect condition. The dash looks like it could have just come out of the factory.Everything works as it should on this car as well, one of those cars that you could take on an extended road-trip without concern. Pride of ownership is evident with this car, as it’s a near perfect example of a very collectable car. A great classic Chevy, ready for a new home.
