1968 DODGE CHARGER
Although there would be much debate over the topic, many regard 1968 as one of the most iconic years of the Dodge Charger, with its newly restyled body and round taillights These 68's developed a cult following after the classic movie "Bullitt" with the car chase scene through the streets of San Francisco. This example is an extremely authentic muscle car, at a level not often seen. It has not been over-restored - yet instead has a high level of originality to it. The correct yellow paint was last done over 20 years ago, and still looks amazing! The chrome is beautiful and the trim is in excellent shape. Close inspection leads us to believe it still retains all of its original body panels. The correct black interior inside is like stepping back into a time capsule. Original dash, headliner...even the rear speaker tray are all still intact and in amazing condition. It retains its numbers matching 383 4bbl engine that it left the factory with. The powertrain is rounded out by the correct (D32) 727 automatic matched to the 8 3/4" rear with 3.23's. Other items on this car from the fender tag include (25/30/78) drip rail/body belt/wheel lip moldings, (A6/B4) bucket seats with center console, and for driving ease - (D9/H1) power steering and brakes.A very correct, original example of an iconic Mopar!
