Highlights
1970 Dodge Challenger RT
As is known, 1970 is the first year of the iconic Challenger -- and this one was a very early build, having a September 10, 1969 date of manufacture. The beautiful rotisserie restoration on this Mopar was completed in its original (FJ5) Sublime green color. Inside, you'll also notice the unique (H5X9) black vinyl with cloth houndstooth bucket seats. Both paint and interior were completed correct to the original fender tag, making this a striking combination.
Under the hood, the original (E63) engine has since been upgraded to an (E86) 440 Magnum matched to the correct (D32) 727 automatic.
Some additional factory options correct to this car include:
-
(A62/N85) rally gauges with tach
-
(J45) hood tie down pins
-
(N41/N42) dual exhaust with cut-outs and chrome tips
-
(V6X) black stripes
-
(A36) performance axle package including 3.55's with hemi suspension and the 26" radiator.
It has a new set of Magnum 500's on it that finish it off nicely. This is a great example of an E-Body that shouldn't last long. Certainly worth a look if you're in the market for a classic Mopar.
